Do My Hair is an iPhone app published by INFINI CONSULTING, 47 rue Vivienne, 75002 Paris, France, the data controller. Contact: contact@do-my-hair.com.

In short: no account, no ads, no analytics of our own. Your photos and videos leave the app only when you save or share them. The Snap Camera Kit component built into the app sends Snap the data described in section 3.

1. What the app does

Do My Hair shows hairstyles on your face, live, with the front camera. You can keep a photo or a video, save it to Photos or share it.

2. What we receive

Nothing from the app itself: Do My Hair has no account, no ads and no analytics of its own, and does not track you. The Snap Camera Kit component built into the app sends Snap the data described below.

  • Your photos and videos leave the app only when you save them to Photos or share them. The ones you don’t keep are deleted when you tap the × button on the result screen, or the next time the app starts.
  • Your settings (welcome screen seen, tip shown, chosen hairstyle filter and hair color) stay on your iPhone.
  • If you write to us, we use your email address and message only to reply, and delete them no later than 12 months after our last exchange.

3. Snap Camera Kit

Hairstyles are rendered by Snap Camera Kit, a component provided by Snap Inc. The camera image is processed on your iPhone. According to Snap’s privacy manifest, its component also sends Snap data that is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you: how you use the app, a device identifier, performance and crash data and, to run the hairstyles, images, head and hand movements and information about the filmed surroundings. Before the first hairstyle is shown, Snap may ask you to accept its terms. Snap processes this data on its own behalf, under Snap’s privacy policy.

4. Face data

Face tracking, used to place the hairstyle, runs on your iPhone inside Snap Camera Kit. Do My Hair does not store, send or share any face data, and never uses it for advertising or marketing. According to Snap, head and hand movements are used only to run the effects.

5. Permissions

  • Camera: to show hairstyles on you and to take a photo or video when you ask.
  • Photos (add only): requested the first time you tap Save. Do My Hair doesn’t read your photo library.
  • Microphone: never requested; videos have no sound.
  • Location: never requested; Do My Hair doesn’t use it.

6. Stopping and deleting your data

To stop all data sharing, delete the app. Photos and videos kept in the app are deleted no later than the next launch; the ones you saved to Photos remain yours. For data received by Snap (access, deletion), see Snap’s policy.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

Legal basis: providing the service you ask for (showing hairstyles) and our legitimate interest in answering your messages. Data received by Snap Inc. may be transferred outside the European Union, with the safeguards described in Snap’s policy. You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your data, and object to its processing, by writing to contact@do-my-hair.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr), or with the authority of your own country.

8. Age

Do My Hair is intended for people aged 13 and over.

Any change to this policy will be published on this page, with its date.
